This policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit Tech Media Arch (www.techmediaarch.com), why, and what your rights are. It describes what the site actually does.
Who is responsible
Tech Media Arch is run by Jacob S. Olsen, Denmark, who is the data controller. Contact: info@techmediaarch.com.
What the site does not do
Tech Media Arch has no user accounts, no comments, no newsletter and no shop. You can read every page without giving us your name or email address.
Consent
When you visit from the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google's consent message asks for your choice before analytics and advertising cookies are used. Until you choose, they stay off. In other regions they are on by default. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the "Privacy and cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.
What is processed, and why
Hosting and security (Cloudflare)
The site is delivered by Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site against attacks and automated abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, and may run a short security check in your browser. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a working and secure website (GDPR article 6(1)(f)).
Statistics (Google Analytics)
With your consent (where consent is required), Google Analytics 4 is loaded with Google's own tag (gtag.js). It measures which pages are read, how visitors arrive, the type of device and browser, and the approximate location (country or city). We use this only to see what readers find useful. Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Visits from the site owner are filtered out. Legal basis: consent (GDPR article 6(1)(a)) where required.
Ads (Google AdSense)
Ads are placed by Google AdSense. With your consent, Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your interests and to measure them; without consent, Google shows limited or non-personalised ads. The same Google tag can also measure visits for Google Ads campaigns. Legal basis: consent (GDPR article 6(1)(a)) where required. YouTube videos in older articles
Some older articles show a YouTube video. The preview image is loaded from YouTube, and the video itself is only loaded from YouTube when you click play. From then on, YouTube's own privacy policy applies.
Settings stored in your browser
If you switch between light and dark mode, the choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the page looks the same next time. It is not sent to us.
If you write to info@techmediaarch.com, we use your email address and message only to answer you, and keep them for as long as needed for that. Email is handled by our email provider, Hostinger. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you (GDPR article 6(1)(f)).
Who receives data
Data is processed by the providers named above: Cloudflare (hosting and security), Google (Analytics, AdSense, consent message and YouTube) and Hostinger (email). Some of them process data outside the EU, for example in the United States. They do so under the safeguards described in their own terms, such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the EU's standard contractual clauses. We do not sell personal data. Your rights
You have the right to ask for access to your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Write to info@techmediaarch.com. Most data is held by Google and Cloudflare; we will help you with your request as far as we can.
You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), www.datatilsynet.dk, or to the data protection authority where you live.
Children
Tech Media Arch is not aimed at children and does not knowingly collect data about them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top is updated. More about cookies: Cookie Policy.
